Yeah and the bolt holes on yours are no where near as deep as the ones on the 16s. Don't know why they are different but they are. It's a pain in the arse really as my socket literally only just reaches without smashing f**k out of the bolt holes.

Well sort of! Nothing to write home about but i have redone the whole engine bay loom as it was bodged together to get it in for mapping in time. Also relocated the ECU to in the cabin now to make it easier to have the laptop plugged in and so no one will run off with it when the bonnet is up at shows LOL

The back has always been too low in comparison to the front 30mm drop so this afternoon i raised that up to a more sensible height

Also went for a drive down to the New forest the other week and a friend got some good photos

Also now that its fuelling correctly and boosting correctly (and next weekend will be boosting even more as I'm fitting my -17% pulley), its not mapped correctly which i did not want to drive it on to the shows so its back in for mapping on June 5th Smile

Be interesting to see what you get out of it with the smaller pulley on. What sort of boost level will it be running? I've often wondered if you'd get more low down grunt with a smaller pulley on a rotrex. You'd have to lower the rev limit though so to not over spin it.

Well a friend kindly fitted the pulley for me yesterday (took a hydraulic press in the end to get it on LOL ) and I've fitted it back onto the car and taken it for a quick spin. Not booting it as its over fuelling on boost quite badly but it does boost a lot earlier which is nice. Hoping to see 7-8psi. Problem with this charger though is i can't go any smaller than this pulley now as the pulley actually sits over the snout annoyingly unlike most where its on the end of the snout so you can go as small as you like.

Car is now all ready for mapping and cleaned for FCS so just needs a quick wipe over Friday. Charger isn't in the best of shape. Its making the boost it should do fine but sounds like the end bearings are on their way out as you get an occasional knock from the rotors. Just hope it lasts until after mapping and FCS LOL

214 not bad for a home brew to be honest pretty well 50bhp on top.

I'm really struggling with mine at the minute. I'm trying to fit a gigantic intercooler as well as oil cooler and traction fluid cooler behind it.... Proving to be a nightmare.

That's a great result Thumbs up

Do you think there is more potential in there somewhere to get a bit more power?

Would be great if you could squeeze 250 out of the setup Yes

I'd be interested to see this against a low boost rotrex. The torque looks quite good to me especially low down.

Good effort especially for doing it yourself and doing something a bit different to everyone else Thumbs up

180lb/ft isnt bad for 215bhp. mine made (on a 30 degree day) approx 250bhp and only just over 190 of torque.

Suprchargers dont make torque like a turbo does as its not free driven power.

Will be interesting to see what mine makes now ive tweaked it a bit and got a cooler 3 times the size lol

Thanks mate. Im pleased with it for a lashed together setup lol. There are other guys out there with 250 on a similar set up but that really is pushing it and I'm not after chasing figures. Im after having something thats fun which this now ticks all the boxes for!

Always more potential my friend! Again, i was really struggling with heat on the dyno. At one point he actually had the hose from the air conditioner over my air filter and i was still seeing 35 degrees but that was when he was really putting it under some load...to the point where my back bumper started melting as my exhaust is too close lol. Next move is an enclosed air filter and potentially a more efficient IC. Also to move the oil cooler from in front of the IC to on top so its not blowing hot air through.

I didn't think 180 was bad for 215hp considering a lynx kit is about about 205-210 for 250hp. Don't forget, eaton chargers are a completely different beast to a rotrex which is proved with graphs. These run out of puff at higher RPMs which you can see on the graph yet the Rotrex chargers seem to give a very smooth line of torque. No one can argue that on paper, the Rotrex is the better charger but at quite a considerable extra cost and is that extra cost worth the extra 30-35hp? Imo, not really. Oh and you don't get that noise Thumbs up

Quick demo of my new PLX gauge. Great bit of kit and great value. Just need to get the oil pressure and boost pressure inputs for it now.
