evening guys and girls. over the last few weeks i got slight hesitation maybe misfire when drive from cold and doing about 30mph in 4th gear and am woundering if any one has any ideas,could it be temp cooloant sensor or coil packs. i have replaced the lamdor sensor about 13months ago and replaced to coil packs 8 months ago. any ideas would be helpful. |

I would of said Lambda but seeing as you've replaced it maybe not. Was it a good make like Bosch you fitted or a cheapy one? I've known people to have s**tty motorfactor one's fail in no time at all but if it was a good one I'd say it's safe to rule that out.If it goes when the car is warm then it does point to the green, ecu temp sender. They are cheap enough so a new one is probably worth a try. ________________________________________ Ryan |

yeah it was a bosch one, think it cost about £40 ish. i might just try temp sensor. would it matter if i didnt get none geniune one? |

well i ordered the CTS and ecu sensor, and i still have a the same problem. but if i drive in 3rd gear doing 30mph all is ok ,it just when i change to 4th gear at 30mph it just doesnt like it. it is little better when warmed up a little bit. so any other ideas guys? |

Sounds abit like mine.I'm going to try air temp sensor,couple of people on here said try it  ________________________________________ Red GTB1756 powered Fabia VRS daily driver,LBSC Gti6 eater........Mac1 ZR R1 kit car build in progress. |

did you reset the ecu after fitting the new parts?also, try disconnecting the MAP sensor while its running. if it dies, its fine but if it carries on running it needs replacing |

no didnt reset the e.c.u but might do that now and leave it disconnected for a bit,and will try disconnecting the map sensor to. |

well i just disconnected the map sensor and tat cut out after couple of seconds ,so that working fine. i have also disconnected the E.C.U to and left it for 15 mins and just re connected and been down the road as seem ok,but will confirm tomorrow on way to work i should now then.thanks for the advice guys so tryed it today on way to work and still the same after resetting the ecu. ideas needed? |

i just mis read it that was all ,wasnt ignoring your comment honest , should hopefully have one of these next week, does anybody know the part number as my local peugeot dealer system is down at the moment. |

have received the air temp sensor today ,which game in a really stupid size box for a small item.well anyway once i removed the old one,i notice there was no o ring on it and the top of the tip was little black and worn. so will try it later on and hope it works. |

Wait until you are experiencing the problem reasonably bad and then pull over and whip the plugs out...The colour of these will tell you a lot about what exactly what is happening inside the combustion chamber during the issue you describe and then you will be able to see whether it's running too rich or too lean at that point. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |
