Hey there,
A few weeks back when my D Turbo came to the end of it's life I picked up a GTi-6 off of Fozzy_255. The car had been stripped as a track car project ( http://www.306gti6.com/forum/showthread.php?id=138368 ). Whilst I appreciate the effort he went to stripping the car.. it's not staying that way.
Here's what I've got from 3 weeks of not a whole lot of work:

The car as it stood when we got there.

Breaking the DTurbo

Realising I'd taken on too much

Car back home and the work begins. First of all I had to remove the current loom as it was a stripped loom ready for track use, and I wanted to bring the car back to the way it was and should be - so I set about swapping the looms over while the car was empty.

Dashboard back in - currently the heater matrix is out of the car just so I could concentrate on getting the car through the MOT until I obtain either my heater matrix or one from somewhere else.

Carpets and interior starting to go back in

Got to this point and realised I had run out of parts so took my girlfriends KA back up to Kent to get more parts from Fozzy

And back home again

Car in for the MOT. Stupidly had rushed to get the car together an hour before and only done the wheel bolts up by hand - oops! Luckily the MOT station is 30 seconds round the corner so didn't have a chance for anything to go wrong.

Update time then, since the last post the car has been through another MOT and is now road legal Smile pictures will do the talking

Fit the standard exhaust back to the car for now until I can sort MOT. Don't seem to be any leaks in the system now so it could have been down to fitting, but that doesn't matter now.

Fitted to the car

Temporary exhaust hangers!

As I have to replace my rear discs & pads for the MOT - I figured it would be an ideal time to paint the rear calipers properly!

Temporary handbrake

Also got some bits to fit this week which will keep me busy:
-Coilovers
-TRS strap
-K&N win cone
-Oil cooler (not sure if I'll fit this yet)
-Braided brake lines as they need replacing for MOT anyway

Some good work there fella.

Definately ditch the yellow badge but the yellow fogs looked sweet. They added some colour to the front end.
