I always wondered, they might be pretty tuneable with a turbo surely?

But then also, would the 1.6 lump take the amount of s**t the average 6 user gives their XU10J4RS (a looked after one) and not fall apart??

Na is gone. Cant think of many a performance car with natural aspiration realeased in the last year.

Leon cupra

Mercedes amgs now use a 5.5 twin turbo with exception to the sls and c amg back.
Could go on.....

Na cars i can think of that are new woukd be....
Subaru brz?

And they are pretty torqueless...

I agree with the 1.6 turbo worries
A lot if citroen ds3r owners with the same engine have fecked their engines.
Although its in a lot if cars that unit so it is pretty proven
Its in the mini cooper s
Ds3
Rcz
Etcetc

never heard of any faults so far in 200bhp RCZ's...i have noted that the 308 GT had a few problems though? here's hoping all the niggles have been sorted.

Check out pistonheads.com and the forums on their a have few of the limited edition edition 225hp ones going bang :s

I read a statement from someone at Peugeot that the 208 GTI will not be as focussed as a Renaultsport due to the fact there is not the demand for themCrazy

So it will be a soft 200bhp car that will get slated for not being focussed enough.

Tbh though. renault are apparently going in the same direction with the new clio... its a 5 door ffs.

Yup.
One with less power than this too.
Same one thats in a Nissan Juke

Btw its a very good engine. But unless they tune it i think its in the 180's hp
