I have 2 sets of these shocks for sale. These are quite possibly the most sophisticated rear shocks you will ever see for a 306/205/309. They have bump and rebound control and in car ride height adjustment (no messing with torsion bars ever again!). They are effectively an inside out coilover, with a spring inside the shock, and fit in the standard position (although some minor modification are required, and some spacers will need to be machined up).

I can't comment what they would be like on the road but for anyone serious about trackdays or racing they are quite possibly the best shocks money will buy.

Both sets require a rebuild which should be able to be done at any decent suspension place. One shock has been dismantled but is complete.

£500ono/pair +postage for the best shocks money can buy! Will get pics asap.

How does the ride height adjustment work? I'm assuming you still need to keep the torsion bars in the beam?

Yeah, but they don't do anything! In theory you could match the torsion bar spring rate to the shock spring rate to create some sort of 2 stage spring rate, but thats well outta my league! They were run with 23.5mm torsion bars but I think the shock spring is so stiff it wasn't doing much.

There is basically a hydraulic reservoir which goes in the car, and then a hose attached going into the shock. The hydraulic reservoir has a long threaded tube in it, which as you screw it in, pushes a piston down forcing fluid into the shock, pushing another piston in the shock to raise the car.

Hmm

Don't suppose you're interested in a p/x with some CatCams 110's with valve springs and collets?

Hi, sorry, I'm not interested in a part ex for cams.

I would however be interested in a part ex for a standard gti-6 engine, must be 100% working perfectly and guaranteed for the first use.

Doh Once again, i've got a standard bottom end, but can't guarantee the condition of it as i bought it as-is. Apparently it was a runner before the head was taken off but the head was needed for another engine from memory.

Also got a bare head which i believe has been ported by LAD.

Bump up to the top after people agreeing to buy them and then not. Amazing how many times 'something comes up' isn't it?

Not interested in the shocks, but if you're still after a standard engine I've got one for sale on here.
