Ok so there seems to be a few people wanting to change there 6 aircon set up to a rallye set up ?

I recently got a brand new pulley and tensioner for reasonable money compared to pug and the parts are exactly the same so made some enquiries and prices are as follows

Tensioner = £35 for any quantity no discounts ( miserable cents) free postage though ?
Pulley = 3 will be £18.50 5 will be £17.00 postage will be £6.50

I guess you could just get the tensioner off eBay like I did as its £35 but we could save a few quid on the pulley ?

Belt can be bought from a motor factors for about a tenner and the bolt is an long m8 sure you can pick one up

Anyone interested ?

Cheers

C

Ok I poped into my local parts direct and this is what he could do for us all items are gates

Gatt38098 tensioner £25.94
Gatt36036 idler £30.53
Gatt6pk1163 belt £9.86

These are plus vat so that's £79.60

Idler is very expensive seeing as I can get them for £17.00 if we buy 5 plus £6.50 postage ? May not be gates though ?

Thoughts ?

Just so I am clear to do the conversion you require only:

Tensioner
Pulley
Belt
M8 Bolt

Nothing else required?

Yup you can use the old bolts from the old set up to attach the new items Thumbs up

It's not an easy Job and you will need to remove the aircon pump Yes

How much are those bits bought from a motor factors at trade price? May work out cheaper to buy a load that way?

Might be worth it for an idea of how good that deal is as a comparison if anything.

Obviously you would be taking on the hassle of having to send them all out though.
