Fitted one to my Rallye, works wellWink

Wanted a separator not just a empty alloy catch can,as they are pretty useless unless you have got loads of piston ring blow-byYes
You need the vacuum draw from the inlet to pull out the vapour/moistureBig grin

Noticed quite abit of oil/crap in the TB/inlet pipe when I changed it,so thought get a separator.Smile

After 3 weeks and circa 600 miles you can see from the pics the resultThumbs up

So, what do you do with it once it's full up? Empty it back into the oil filler cap? Unsure

If it's separating the oil from the vapours how does 99% of it end up as water? Unsure

Surely there would just be oil in it, or am I having a blonde moment? LOL

I would imagine it removes any moisture build up from the vapour in the cam cover which otherwise may go like mayonnaise. The vacuum draws this out.

    ^This^Thumbs up

It separates oil/water etc from the vapour which then gets sucked back into inlet tract via TB on this engSmile

Saves it getting sucked into your eng and burnt, cleaner burnThumbs up

Oh and from what iv read on the above link, its not just water but also fuel remnants and oil vapour, so is most likely 95% water or similar, not that it matters.

I got a little question about this oil catch thing. Isn`t the pourpose of sendind that oil into the inlet, to lubricate the valve guides? I bought an oil catch tank, and read this somewhere, and got me thinking.
