Hi, i have been a member for a good few years, but haven't posted for a long time. I have the same username on the 205 gti drivers site where there is a project thread on my car and the above engine.

That engine should have the code "XU10J4RS" if it is out of a 306 Rallye. Yes

You sir either live for the 6 or have a mental retardation to still be repairing this!

The best engine in the world is the vagina, it takes any size piston, its self lubricating, starts with 1 finger, and every 4 weeks does its own oil change. It's just a pity the management system is so fecking temperamental.

I know i missed the "S" off the end

I have changed it just waiting for it to update.

The new clutch fitted is a genuine Valeo. It is the 2.0 Mi16/S16 type to be used on a 205 gti gearbox not the 6 speed 306 gti 6/Rallye box.

The engine is the 167 bhp Rallye/Gti 6 2.0 XU10J4RS

The clutch is for use on a 205 gti gearbox, i bought this type of clutch as it was my intention to put this engine in my 205.

He means the clutch he has fitted to this engine is for a push system not pull like the GTi-6/Rallye. Wink

Price reduced to £295 as i need the space.

Prices really seem to have dropped for these cars in the past couple of years. If i remember correct i paid £400 for this and then paid someone to do the timing belt and water pump as a matter of routine when the engine was out.

Prices for these cars as a whole and in parts have fallen through the floor in the last couple of years. Yes Sad
