I had the garage put these in. Can't remember if the pads are Pagid blue or EBC bluestuff, either way the frictional co-efficient will be much higher than any standard pads and will work at a higher temperature

These get no use with my driving style and are pretty much overkill so I'm just trying to recoup some money. They've bedded in and done less than 5K miles of just city and town driving, lots and lots of usable life left in em.I had the garage put these in. Not sure mate, again it was the garage supplied and fit. I'll have a lookeh to the receipt folder and try and find out for ya. It will be branded, I don't skimp on parts. |

Pads might have that nobly bit on both pads ? Failing that yes that pad on show should be on the other side of the disc |

Never paid attention to this... Thanks for point it out, I'll have a lookeh myself. How can you call yourself a garage if you can't fit brakes properly, found a new garage in Leicester, so won't be visiting that one. I'm taking them off tomorrow to do some work. |

OMG... the pads were the wrong way round, the pad with the bit sticking out should be inside the notch of the piston... Shocking. I've since painted the calipers yellow and fitting some standard discs and pads. I am friends with a mechanical engineer and can get the pads all even for use, they are EBC blue stuff, pretty expensive new ~ £50+ a set.I don't want to create a new thread but, I couldn't get the new pads to fit with the metal backing plate, even with the piston wound fully, did put a healthy bit of copper grease on the back of the pads, will it be ok without the metal plate, oh and this time they are the right way... Price drop £50 + £7.50 delivered. |
