Yes it is needed, Even worst case an adjustable one fitted but these are more than a std one, It's a safety item so I would really have a go at them, OK if you wanted it removed for track work but even then as above a adjustable one is a must

I didnt realise it was in such a bad way, it's been like it for 2 years mind.

Has anyone fitted a phase 3 ABS system like Rich suggested on a phase 2? just wondering what it involves and costs and is there any benifits compared to the compensator?

That's terrible...

You need to have some way of limiting brake fluid flow to the rear to stop the rear wheels locking under heavy braking causing you to possibly lose control of the vehicle. Yes Shock
