just wandering does anyone know or how to find out the dimensions for a strut brace ? i want to have a go at making one at work, just need dimensions________________________________________ aparently... it goes something like BWARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRP!!! |

As for making an upper brace, the base plates would be easy. Just mock up with card or something like that then sketch it into a table. Then just get some 3mm plate and copy the shape. I'd then bolt them to the car and trial and error the pipe that goes from strut to strut. Once your happy with the pipe tack it onto the plates whilst fitted to the car. Remove the brace, then tack that to a metal bench and fully weld. Just be sure to let it cool down completely before removing from the table thus minimising the chance of it moving. Once you have the 1st one you can knock up a jig and start knocking them out on here if you like. ________________________________________ See the sheer power and might of the lesser known burrowing owl. |

^^What he said, no point giving dimensions unless you're using the exact same bend radii and tube sizes as another one, your easiest way is to make a pattern on the car using what you have, tack it up and then whip it off to weld it all up properly.________________________________________ - Bespoke rollcages/additions/adjustments.
