I have run 8k and 10k from what i have read the higher the K the lower the lumens which from what I understand doesn't throw the beam as far Dunno

The MOT Tester's manual for 2012 says this:

quote:
Vehicles equipped with High Intensity Discharge (HID) or LED dipped beam headlamps may be fitted
with headlamp washers and a suspension or headlamp self levelling system.

Where such systems are fitted, they must work; however, it is accepted that it may not be possible to readily determine the functioning of self levelling systems. In such cases, the benefit of the doubt must be given.

So there's no specific exceptions, it's simply a best effort. However if you dazzle a copper, you'll get a fine.

It's in one of the amendment notices somewhere.

Laugh at that pic

i had 4300k and found them to be the best 'standard' looking xenons. i'm going to try a set in the 406 v6 as it's got proper projector lights and headlight washers so i think they'll work well

I had 6000k for a few years, but was so paranoid I was blinding people (which I was, all the aftermarket kits leak light no matter what anyone says) so they are now in a box in the garage. Trouble is I am now blinded by everyone else Sad

You can see clearly there is light leakage on the above pic, there is no sharp horizontal line where the light stops. Just a nice purple blur LOL

that's because the gti6 lights don't have projectors. i've been dismantling various 406 lights over the past week or so and the projectors in them are removable, i wondered how they'd look putting them into gti6 headlights because then when running the HID's you'd get no glare and a crisp line

that's only on Dipped isn't it Rikky? main beam is an un-shrouded H7 same as a gti6 lamp.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251004054629?

sidelights are as normal and the projector is for the dipped beam which gives a better light pattern i've found Yes the main beam i have no idea, it'll just be another bulb like the gti6
