Got a set of 12.1mm lift cams that I won't be using. They were supplied to me by Longmans as an upgrade for my btcc engine, but as that blew up and I bought another engine these are no longer required. They are Longmans own spec grind, or at least thats what I was told by Longmans. They haven't done much mileage and are in general good condition. My engine made 280bhp on Longmans slightly over optimistic dyno with these cams and other mods.

SOLD!

Also out of the same engine are a set of Omega forged pistons as used by Longmans in all there XU10 engines. They are 86mm bore. One piston was destroyed when the engine failed so a second hand piston has been sourced. There are rings fitted to the 3 remaining piston, which have done very little mileage. The other piston will require rings, and personally for the sake of £80 for a set of rings, I'd probably replace the lot. The pistons have some marks in the valve cut outs where the valves have hit but I can't see these been detrimental to the pistons operation.

£250ono

Standard gudgeon pin-

Omega gudgeon pin-

Rod comparison-

So they'll fit standard rods, with no bushing required as long as you want to keep the standard semi floating gudgeon pin (ie the pin only rotates in the piston, not in the rod and piston). Gudgeon pins are included.

The pistons weigh around 350g bare (no rings, or pin) and a standard piston weighs in at 350g also. However the omega gudgeon pins are shorter and not as thick so they are considerably lighter.

12.1mm lift cams. Kent PT85 race cams are only 11.98mm. Any idea what the power band is on them cams you have?
May well be interested in cams and pistons. will let you know Thumbs up

Also by omega pistons do you mean Vauxhall omega 3.0 24v v6 pistons out off an x30xe engine?

http://www.omegapistons.com/

This is the power graph from Longmans dyno when they mapped it. There was a fairly big loss in power+torque just before it came on cam, whereby it took off. When it was re-mapped by Wayne Schofield he got rid of that drop in power+torque so it was more like a flat line rather than a dip.

And it was 270bhp/181lbft the engine made, not 280 as previously stated!

Did the map go on standard ecu or have you had to go for an omex or something?

No, it was originally mapped on the EFi Euro 6 ecu that was in my car, but I got shot of that and it was then mapped by Wayne on a DTA. I wouldn't have thought the standard ecu will be able to be mapped for these cams and the associated other mods but might be worth a call to Wayne to see what he thinks. Personally I'd go for a DTA or similar.

Omega ones, or any other that fit. Think the rings are 1mm, 1mm,3mm.
