Ahh that's totally understandable fella, they are pricey to run nowadays too especially if you're just stuck in traffic most of the time......

MX5 is a good idea, that's great you've got an advert submitted.....would be great to keep the car in the club, would make a cracking track / personal car. Ok i know it's not a rocket but i still miss how quickly it got upto speed! I now drive on the back roads via pock almost to York for my new job.......i think if i had the 6 still it'd be an absolute hoot driving to work but i might have even crashed it pushing it too far!

Just on the cost thing, did you ever run it on V-Power when you owned it?
I did some maths and on normal unleaded it'd do 27mpg, whereas V-Power it'd return 34.7! That's a Huge difference! Still not a diesel Golf, but it's certainly pretty good!

I'd prefer for it to stay in the club too, it deserves someone who'll look after it and drive it properly - the body is still in great shape tbh, other than the stone chipped front end. And it's certainly still got some guts, anyway - very easy to do some silly speeds! Which is perhaps another reason I'm getting rid... it's a bit Too capable!
Needs to end it's life stripped out, being rung by the neck on a track.

I did occasionally run it on it a bit but tbh i just used to fill it per week and drive it how i wanted and fill it when it was empty, never looked at the MPG too much until it became important LOL 34 is SUPERB for that performance.....nice work!
