Yeah, those 2 connections go into a common space anyway inside the cam cover so the block breather is effectively breathing to outside anyway.________________________________________ Oulton Park in a BTCC 306 vid 1Oulton Park in a BTCC 306 vid 2 Lap of the 'ring |

Very odd, But the cam cover breathers should be a standard or oil will get around the bay as you have noticed, There is also a T connector for the head breather on the block which I guess might be left open, Not good as you never know what may fall inside.Worth fitting a catch tank or a oil breather on the end of a pipe under the car or you might start smelling oil vapour inside the cabin, which isn't the best, The bolt blocks the old vacume from the inlet manifold, Much easier to fit a new section of pipe between the pump and metal pipe, also remove's the plastic T piece which can break too. ________________________________________ 306 Rallye Sptint/Race Car, 205 CTI 1.9 8v to name a fewRoad, Track and Race/Rally car preparation to your personal requirements, Full Workshop & Diagnostic Facilities New and Second parts, from Plugs to Turbo's We now also carry out Routine Servicing www.pugracing.com & FB Page, https://www.facebook.com/PugRacing Ebay; http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Pug-Racing-Shop 2012/2013/2014/2019 Class Winners at Gurston Down Speed Hillclimb & Joint overall, Class record too along the way, |

Plus the Omex run's all by itself, the old ECU and loom should be removed as it's no use at all, Plus without it there makes any fault finding very easy, I know from seeing a well know company in Hampshire wiring, they keep the std loom in place in a 205 which makes it a nightmare, also looks untidy too________________________________________ 306 Rallye Sptint/Race Car, 205 CTI 1.9 8v to name a fewRoad, Track and Race/Rally car preparation to your personal requirements, Full Workshop & Diagnostic Facilities New and Second parts, from Plugs to Turbo's We now also carry out Routine Servicing www.pugracing.com & FB Page, https://www.facebook.com/PugRacing Ebay; http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Pug-Racing-Shop 2012/2013/2014/2019 Class Winners at Gurston Down Speed Hillclimb & Joint overall, Class record too along the way, |

So... is it better to have long runners on the inlet manifold or long trumpets for a better spread of torque? Curious as obviously both wont fit at the same time!________________________________________ owain wrote: A GTI-6 with a good dashboard and the seats down can outsprint an E46 M3 in July. |

Generally most tuners say it doesn't make much difference how the 'length' is made up, although position of the butterfly and injectors in relation to the valves can also affect the engines characteristics... The only way to know for sure would be to spend a lot of time and money on the dyno with different bodies/inlets/trumpets. ________________________________________ Oulton Park in a BTCC 306 vid 1Oulton Park in a BTCC 306 vid 2 Lap of the 'ring |

Looking good. Can't wait to get mine fitted.Need to speak to Sandy about mapping it. I like the way he and Colin have designed and engineered everything to get the best out of them for the '6 engine. I was reading up on how the manifold and trumpets they supply were tested and tested until it was right. ________________________________________ |
