Hey guys,

Has anyone else noticed the hike up in ECP prices?

I went to order a belt and pump and they tried to charge me nearly £20 on top of what I paid last month...

I then went on carparts4less.com and ordered the same parts at the original price that I used to get them at - that is to say at my trade discount!

What a load of w**kers.

Carparts4less is their sister company.

I get the impression that they are probably going to migrate over at some point or rebrand to that.

Try your local factors. I can get a Valeo clutch cheaper @ trade through a factors, than I can as an exchange at Peugeot.

Yeah, I found out carparts4less was their sister site, that's why I ordered from them in the end. It just annoys me that my "trade" discount is so easily available.

Can I use your cash account Jim? Cos mine seems pointless now...

Do you need anything special to set up a trade account with ECP?

We've a trade account at work, which usually gets a fair bit knocked off.

The last lot of bushes I ordered came through at pretty much the quoted price online. I'm wondering if they've changed their margins a bit.

That said, I saved 60p on a brake light switch

Well I thought I'd bump this back to the top as I had another incident today involving ECP...

Turns out "all" returns are subject to a 25% handling fee. I've never paid this before, and in fact never took any notice of it.

After years of giving them business and spending considerable amounts, I was told that the clutch I was returning was subject to the above term! That meant paying £25 to return a clutch!

So, I took the clutch and told them to stuff their ABS sensor which I ordered earlier on.

    Bunch of rip off merchants.

Never using them again, that was well and truly the last straw.

Anyone want to buy a Clutch...?

Did they supply it right or wrong, If the latter then they surely cannot charge for it,

Do you have a proper trade account? If so surely you can just send it back no bother, saying that they also deliver foc.

I have a cash trade account. It was correctly supplied, it just turned out the car doesn't need a clutch.

To be honest, I've had enough.

Too many times have they supplied the wrong parts resulting in me swallowing costs and losing profit.
Too many times have they not had the part in stock.
Too many times have they changed the quality of the part.
Too many times have they handed out trade discount to retail.

I would have thought that they'd take care of customers like myself who have spent considerable amounts with them. But the thing that p**ses me off the most is that them losing my business doesn't make a blind bit of difference to them.
