I had a sportex centre section in today before i changed it to a straight through pipe, so now have a de-cat, scorpion back box and a straight through centre section, it seems a bit less acceleration, is this due to back pressure? or any ideas..
any ideas would be appreciated.

I'm guessing it's a typo as it has a capital. Diameter I'd assume?

That's most likely then haha, 3.5 scorpion and a hoffman de-cat looks either 2" or 2.5"

Std is 2.25 I think, the sportex straight through is 2.5". Should flow a bit better at the top end, but a bit less torque low/mid.

I have chucked the sportex centre section and backbox back on, sounds like a bloody fireblade imo but no where near as fast as one LOL

It did make it a lot quieter, though when past like 4k rev giving it some it sounds a lot louder sounds pretty smart tbh.

And the pickup/back pressure was much better could notice the difference easily Yes
