Hi,

So thankfully I was able to get my hands on a towbar for this weekend so I can go and pick up my go kart Big grin

I was wondering if anyone had any tips for fitting it? I believe I am going to have to cut the bumper, has anyone else done this before?

Also the wiring for the electrics Confused have any ideas?

As always help much appreciated Smile

Your welcome ;-)

I would place under the car and put a bolt through either side to support allowing it to swivel. Pull out under the bumper marking with a pencil/marker where the central point is and where you would need to cut!

My bumper only needed the underside lip cut out so visually ok when I removed it!

A dremal or drill with sand paper bit would take the bumper away quite quick.

The wiring went into the drivers side rear light.

Don't mean to sound funny but I'm sure I read somewhere that the DIY fitting of tow bars has now been outlawed, and it's only supposed to be approved fitting centres now that fit them....... I may be wrong but worth checking is it not?? Just my 2p's worth...... Unsure

Thanks Jeffers I'll look into it.

Calibra306 haha thanks! Didn't want to keep asking you questions! With regards to the wiring how did you know which wires go where etc?

Would I be better off putting this in the electrics section actually?

I found this:

I get it apart from the fact that I wire both brake lights into one and then into the towbar wiring terminal?
