Been following the guides in the FAQ section. Got the old cable ready to come out, string attatched, air con pipes pulled up, but it wont budge! Trying to pull it from different angles etc isnt working either! Any ideas?

Cheers

edit> what won't budge? the pipes?

it's probably getting trapped under the servo on the big black grommet. i just wiggled it from the bottom whilst a mate pulled it in. didn't take very long. we just undid the aircon pipe securing clip and prized the pipes up a little bit using a massive crowbar

The first time you do one of these they are a nightmare as you are discovering...

Once you've done 2 or 3 they become a doddle as you know exactly what to do. Yes

Well done, as I say the first time has been difficult but if you do ever need to do it again you will find it easier and know how to do it. Yes

Clutch is much easier to use but...

I am struggling to select gears now. Reverse, 1st and 2nd are really hard to get. The others aren't too bad. Take it the clutch is on its way out??

yeah could be your clutch plate,...
that's another fun job to do!
Stan helped me do mine i'll never forget that day! LOL

best was when Stan decided that Jokers head could be taken off with the Exhaust manifold still attached,..(seperate job same day!)
and it ended up with my arms sitting in between the head and the block to stop the valves touching anything,..
while stan frantically tried to undo the bolts from the manifold from underneath think joker was running around flapping his arms in the air or something? happy days LOL

but yeah if your going to do a new clutch defo get some help from someone that knows what their doing,..

How much can I get a clutch kit for? Anything else worth replacing at the same time?
