For sale:

It's time for something else thats why the strong 405 T16 engine (XU10J4TE) out of my 306 is for sale.

The complete engine is being sold (manifolds, ECU, loom, chargecooler, hoses, sensors etc etc.) Really everything to make a proper and good working conversion in an other Peugeot.

All of the parts are becoming rare specific for the T16, although all the original parts are included with this engine. The customized gearbox is also included.

With a conversion of this kind loads of time will spend such a sorting the wiring out and building everything up. This conversion is everything sorted out (electronics, water circuit, oil circuit etc.) and everything works like it should do! For example even the chargecooler pump circulates for 1 minute after swithching the ignition off to let the water go round.

De engine has done 155.000 km (96.312 miles) and had really good service. With the conversion at 140.000 km the cambelt has been changed with the water pump and the belt pullies as well. At 150.000 km the crankshaft bearings has been replaced as well for new ones, and a new radiator has been fitted. The ECU is working perfect with no dips, like other 405 T16's sometimes have. After 4 trackdays the oil is changed with Castrol Edge 10w60 including the oilfilter.

The engine is complete stock and last summer I put it on the dyno at DP Engineering. De engine produced a nice 227 pk and 320 Nm (sheet available).

As mentioned above the engine would be sold completely also with the chargecooler circuit, a new radiator has been fitted here as well.
As you can see a complete package where no money has been saved. The engine is still in the car and you can hear the enigne running, even a test drive is possible.

The price for the complete package is € 5500.

For any questions don't hesitate to contact me at (cj_hatzmann@hotmail.com) or call (+31623032338). The car and the engine are close to Amsterdam.

Regards,
Cees-Jan

yes you can, the block is the same as any other iron block pug 16v with oil spray bars, i.e any MI16, s16, gti6, most xsi'd.

only the internals like pistons, crank, valves and cams were unique.

so the XU10J2TE has the same piston bottom cooling as the XU10J4RS?

does the T16 engine has forged internals?

Pistons i could replace and block now you told me what blocks are the same valves we can get made to spec and have a spare set of billet cams made. The crank will be the sticking point due to it being unique.Any idea how much a replacement crank would cost if someone made one to copy original spec?

If you can pay 5k for an engine I'm sure a 1k or so for a crank is no biggie.

Is that how much a replacement /copy crank would cost ?
£1000 crank
£600 billet cams
£100 Block
£500 Valves
£5000 engine plus another 2k 7k in total GTI6 Turbo engine with readly available parts seems like a better option what do you think ?
