Aw.. Rikky, When I used to lurk back in the old days there were 2 members I liked the most, Shinbone and Rikky. Since Shinbones departure, Rikky became #1. I'd happy be admin at Rikky.net free of charge any time.

Just had to say it.

Whilst I don't necessarily agree with the prospective changes - rules are rules and the club needs to be funded Yes.
As I no longer own a Rallye, and haven't done so for over 2 years, I probably won't be staying on...Mellow.

So, just a quick one to thank everyone for all the help with both of my Rallyes over the years - much appreciated!! Thumbs up. There are some really knowledgeable guys here, especially when it comes to the mighty XU10J4RS/BE/3 setup.

I've made some really good friends over the past 6 or so years [more, if you count the lurking years from 2004 Shock ] - for those who don't have my contact details and would like to stay in touch, you're welcome to PM me before the cutover.

Take care of those Rallyes....King

I do not usually post much, but I feel that i something to comment on this topic.
In my opinion a lot of the recent changes have not been for the better and have not looked after the interests of the old members Dry

If the issue was the money to run the site, as mentioned by others, it could’ve been addressed by other means (sponsorship, voluntary donations, paying to post in the For Sale section etc.)

Adding more admins to the team has, imho, addressed the problem of people posting rubbish - that had the main effect as oppose to introducing pricing scheme.

However, not been able to answer technical questions without paying is a completely Crazy Old members are unlikely to ask technical questions and making them to pay for the “privilege” of sharing their knowledge is bizarre situation. Also it is a crazy idea of auto deleting the old threads – as this is the main value of the forum and without experienced users this knowledge will just be lost Doh

I have paid for the membership, but not sure that this was the right thing to do... Unsure

MLR500: Another unique event devised by the MLR, where teams of up to 5 people drive a Mitsubishi worth no more than £500 on a dirt oval for a 4hour endurance. The event includes driver changes and refuelling, and the winning team is the one who completes the most laps.
MLR Rolling Road Days: Dyno days, organised by the MLR for club members, and a chance to get your car in the MLR modified section on the forum, which allows members to view your graphs, and compare how your car is performing with other members.
Event Tickets: Members can purchase discounted tickets for all National shows and exhibitions that the MLR are attending, and these automatically entitle you to park your Evo in secure parking on the MLR stand, where you can display your car and make it part of the show.
MLR DISCOUNTS
MLR Club Shop: MLR member discounts on all products, including Ralliart, Yokohama, PIAA and Meguiars, discounts for members on virtually everything including car accessories, clothing, tickets to National shows, trackdays, sprints and much more.
Official Ralliart Products: The MLR is an official Ralliart merchandise dealer, able to supply a full range of Ralliart merchandise and clothing with MLR members discount.
Discounts with MLR Traders: As members you are eligible to various discounts from the MLR traders – from 5% - 20% (approx) discounts, as well as on off special member only deals. See the Trader listing elsewhere on the website.
Access to Group Buys: MLR members can also benefit from our Group Buys – these are goods that we source for you, at discounted prices. Can be anything from a Road Angel or Performance Box, to a triple plate clutch or set of wheels and tyres – all with massive savings.
Two Tier Pricing: Virtually everything in the MLR Shop has a two tier pricing system; one for members and another for non members. Most items are purchasable by both but Members save money by paying less!"
