My girlfriend has just passed her big bike test so she's selling her little Honda 125

Put it up on eBay on Sunday night for £1450 and had a viewing on it last night. The chap checks it out telling us he knows loads about bikes, shortly before he takes it off the centre stand wrong and almost drops it on the floor.

He can't really fault it other than the problems we'd already listed in the ad. After 20 minutes of talking to him he's ready to talk money and tells us its only worth £1000, £1100 at the max because it has a little bit of surface rust on the footpegs and because he reckons he can get a brand new one for 2k. So I told him to go and do that and wished him on his way.

Why do people bother, really boils my blood!!

I've had that before and told people to jog on.

Also had my time wasted though by turning up to collect a car that was absolutely fecked and the owner had completely lied about the condition.

Pics of girl in leathers?

I had a couple of lads come to view a BMW I was selling. One of them commented about the blowers not working - which was odd as they were fine before. He then got out of the seat and left behind was a fuse that had fallen out of his pocket. Because of that I kept all the spares I was prepared to give with it, and didn't budge a penny on the price.

Oddly he agreed to pay the full asking, and didn't even test drive it. No idea why he wanted to bargain on the fans not working.

That is a very strange story!

I drove all the way to Cornwall to look at a HDi that looked good in the pictures but in reality the roof had been trampled on and the rear wheels had brake fluid leaked all over them!

Sorry she doesn't have leathers she wears textile stuff!

Textile stuff will suffice. I really am not picky.

Well, if she rides a Harley I will pass actually.

Indeed. If I had a short fuse I would have brought it up and questioned it. But he knew I had seen it and looked embarassed so there was no need to mention it.

You may as well just send her round LOL

Certain things sell on certain sites. You aren't going to shift your Grandads old Saab on Pistonheads. It's all about the target market. For a bike I wouldn't know where to start.

Everyone is a time waster until they prove otherwise

i've sold loads of cars over the years and i hate it when in an ad i list a problem/fault/damage and then buyer tries to knock you down based on those bad bits
