Odd question i know, BUT, what is the standard colour finish on the PAS cooler pipe that runs backwards and forwards in a loop just infront of the front lower cross member?

Mines covered in surface corrosion, and i cant make out what colour/finish it would have been originally, if finished at all???

Thumbs up

Possibly just plated, hence in the direct flow of all the s**t /salt of the road, it rusts through quite readily.

Blasted and painted satin black it is then!

The one I bought new from Peugeot about 3 or 4 years ago was a dull green, probably something like Pantone 378.

Dull green? Interesting, that would probably explain why mine looked black after a few years of use...

I think they are electro-plated, which gives them a greenish tint, cant plate mine as they are too pitted with corrosion. Ive priced up a new one - £35 ish from Pug. I'm having a go at stripping mine and painting it first to see how it comes up.

    Thanks fellas.

Yeah, it could well have discoloured over time.

The finish on the one I got was definitely painted.

Obviously that's no guarantee the factory fitted ones were like that, but that's what Peugeot were selling as replacements 3 to 4 years ago.
