I was going to update very soon. Only about a week ago did i get her going. Had a s**t load of trouble with that bloody gearbox. Once i figured that out the engine transplant was readonably easy. Whilst there i replaced both ball joints, tre,s,engine mounts, removed the air con and replaced the aux belt and obviously the cambelt change and water pump. Shes had a full service with plugs as well niw im just scared to drivr her in case i did something wrong lol. Good learning curve tho!

Unfortunately i was going to sell bits off of my old engine but my shed where it was kept had a massive roof failure in high wibd/rain one night lol. Now its rusty as hell. To the scrappy i think!

Thanks for your encouragement

Yes and no aaron

I have learnt a lot and to be honest i had no option but to do it myself. So if someone was the same as me then yes. As long as you know the engine is good then its pretty simple. Apart from that bloody clutch and gearbox. However now i know how to do it im sure it would be much quicker. And less swearing lol

No, just seeing if advising him to do it was a good but of advice. Smile
But if mine was f**ked then yeah, I'd give it a crack. You can't make it worse! LOL

Fair play for giving it a go and getting stuck in.

Sounds like your confidence grew and you started to tackle other jobs when you knew what you were capable of.

I suppose there is that, if it's already knackered then you've got nothing to lose. Yes
