Hi, I'm after a negative lead that goes from the battery to the gearbox, the clamp part is splitting on mine.
Thanks andy

Did you buy a seperate clamp to connect it to the battery terminal?

I did it at the same time as relocating the battery inside the car, but no reason you couldn't just bolt it to the side of the existing clamp I'd imagine.

EDIT: actually no, I piggy-backed it to the chassis clamp:

There's 2 there, one goes to the battery, where do you have the other one going to? Or is there 2 there and I've forgot, I can't see it, I will be working blind when I undo it.
The clamp On my wire that goes round the battery terminal has split, it's lead.

There are two normally - one from the gearbox to the battery and one from the block to the battery - rather than that I just piggybacked it, so the neg wire going off to the bottom left was going back to the battery.

I've always only had 1 negative lead, goes from battery to gearbox.

Mine's a phase 1, dunno if that's any different. Really doesn't matter as long as it's all earthed.

Halfords sell negative leads like Owain linked to.

Look on their website to check cost.

Ah, that was it actually - I got them from Halfords last minute rather than during my CBS order.

Dan gets points, I'm reassured I'm not retarded.

I wonder how much for one with the lead battery clamp on just like the standard one, would Peugeot rip my pants down for it?

Probably easier to just get the parts from CBS and make your own in half a second.

Battery negative on mine goes to the gearbox, then there is 4 earths going to the chassis infront of the battet box, in 2 places next to each other, but they come from the loom, and 1 of them is for the new fan wiring.
