You won't be able to do it you need a professional to do it ? Shop around places have second hand screens for a lot less than £350 |

You should be able to get one fitted for between £100 to £150. Call independent companies and play them off against each other.________________________________________ Ex SC-6Now in a Megane R26 |

That's a pretty good price. It is criminal what the big companies try to charge (and no doubt charge insurers)________________________________________ Ex SC-6Now in a Megane R26 |

£100+vat is about what you should be paying. my brother used to fit windscreens and said they're about that price. £600 is ridiculous________________________________________ 306 rallye reproduction decals (full sets/individual decals) | 306 b-pillar textured vinyl weatherstrips306 slam panel esso stickers | 306 yellow / orange / pension fund red side door badges gti6 inlet manifold badges | 306 rear boot badges (p2/p3) winner of Extraction of toys from prams with outstanding vigour award 2009 [source: gti6 owners club] |

Got it sorted this morning for 120quid, that must be what the insurance companies pay so we all end up paying for it in the end. |

From jammamayhew because he cant post!I cant reply to your thread but can you post the following up for me: I paid £130 for a rainsensor windscreen on my GTi6 only a couple of weeks ago. Best to google search windscreen companies and get quotes from each then play them off eachother. I couldn't really get them down much as I was in a rush to get mine sorted as I had my MOT the following day, but the quote was £150 and I got them down to £130 by saying another company had quoted me £125 if I had it done next week so if they could quote me to do it the same day for a little more I'd take it and the best they could do was £130 But like I said I could have gone further if time was on my side I think. Also make sure you get a quote on both tinted and non tinted. I ended up getting non-tinted by mistake but I see no difference so not really that bothered as it'll only be replaced again within 10 years |
