Hi all,

I had to weld my cat back together after it snapped in the usual position. Is there any way possible that a new, thicker piece of metal could be welded to the end of the cat box itself to be a reducer to the centre section? Because I think I have heard my exhaust blowing a little and it's smelly, which means I am expecting the whole thing to explode again pretty soon...which SUCKS.

Anyone got any suggestions other than "put a de-cat oan it"

Cheers,

Brian

Any ideas folks? My worry is that any genuine second hand one snaps on me as well and wondering if this is a better option if it's at all possible?

The issue i've got is the metal seems to be very, very thin now and the chap might not be the best welder but i could see for myself that it was looking a bit frail altogether in that area. Strengthening plates in that area sounds good though! A bit of that and a new engine mount or 2 should do the job....

Never mind, bit the bullet and just bought a new cat. Can't wait to get back in s 306 again, the 309 in it's day may have been comfy, but not now. Haha!
