I built the car about 2 years ago with brand new bodies and it's driven faultless the whole time

A couple of days ago the car started to misfire slightly at low revs and spit flames out the bodies. I had exactly the same problem on the 205 cabriolet but I can't remember how I fixed it.

I have tried 3 coil packs, plugs and water temp sensor. The only other thing I think it could be is the tps but this was also new

Here is a video

Thanks

Dan's one did similar, it as the engine block buggered leaking coolant, HG would give similar symptoms.

Is it mapped off the TPS?

If it's worn slightly the setting can drift and the massive ignition advance under light loads and openings will make it fire back up the inlet.

Welshpug, would a compression test, test this?

Phillipm, not quite sure what you mean? Tps was set a percentage then the car mapped on the road

Is the car purely mapped from the TPS sensor though, or does it use the MAP too?

MAP too should correct slightly for TPS drift, whereas if it's just from the TPS it could well be that..

Cars been sat over night. Fired up and run sweet for 20 sec then started to miss fire.

Then something strange happened, the fuel hose from the pressure regulator to fuel hose started leaking?

Could this be fuel related?

Just took it out for a spin. Foot flat to the floor in 3rd and it pulls round to 4k then splutters but pulls through it. Does not do it every time

Why has it been mapped on a rising rate fpr? This could be your problem.. Utilise the oe 3bar and check

As I said never had a problem with any of my cars running with this item. I can't put a 3 bar on there as it's been mapped to this one and I don't have access to a mapper any more or parts so trying to fix just whats broken.

I had a similar problem with mine a year of so back. With the DTA management it requires an air temp sensor which on mine is mounted just infront of the inlet. The sensor failed and caused it to miss up to about 4k rpm and then it would pull past it.

Popped the car over to track and road and there was a spike on the map

The battery packed up last week so could have been from that
