You sir either live for the 6 or have a mental retardation to still be repairing this!

The best engine in the world is the vagina, it takes any size piston, its self lubricating, starts with 1 finger, and every 4 weeks does its own oil change. It's just a pity the management system is so fecking temperamental.

Gnr lee I have used a coolants machine that I have at work and it does it for you, although I have been told I may need an oil cooler because it's leaking into the coolant?

If you're getting oil in your coolant theres only two places it can get there, through the heat exchanger or via the headgasket.

It lives behind the oil filter on the front of the engine, hopefully for your sake this is the issue as its much cheaper and easier to replace than the headgasket. Smile

EDIT: If you want a way of checking whether the heat exchanger is at fault you can remove the two coolant pipes from it and block the ends up, or connect them together and run the engine. If oil starts coming out of the two pipes on the exchanger it is fubar'd. If nothing happens then the chances are it is the headgasket at fault. It took mine a couple of minutes before the oil started to come out so allow the engine to run for a few minutes when checking if oil comes out.

Yeah they aren't cheap, if you stick a thread up in the wanted section i'm sure someone will have a second hand one available for a reasonable amount. I'd recommend checking any second hand ones the way i mentioned above after fitting though as i got one and it was also a leaker. Doh

I see good advice mate, Is it possible that it could be the seal or is it the hole thing? Because the seal is only 4.90 from pug, and finally my oil on the dipstick is a little bit thin even after an oil change and about 50 miles could that also be put down to heater exchange?
