Bought this 306 GTI-6 on the 31st Jan to use as a cheap runabout for a little while. I Paid £950 for it. It's got an MOT until Jun and tax until Sep. All the normal stuff like E/W, E/SR, E/M, remote locking (2 keys) and PAS.
It's got all the MOTs from new and the mileage is 103500.
I've put about 2k miles on it over the past 2 weeks and I was heading to Scotland in it this morning, when the engine management light came on and it started to misfire. I limped it off the motorway and happened to pull up outside a car sales place and spotted a car for sale that I liked, so bought it there and then and have left the 306 just around the corner from their place (Watford) but will try and get it back home (Windlesham, Surrey) at the weekend when I'm back from Scotland.
So the car is available for spares or repairs. I've not looked at the fault at all, so have no idea what might be wrong with it. The only thing that I can tell you is that after about 90 minutes I started it back up to move it and the misfire wasn't there for the first minute or 2, then came back, so I would imagine it's electrical.
If you want to see the original ad (and you may have already seen it), then do a search on ebay for item no 140691358888 as that's got the pictures on it. The only thing different from the ad, is that I've taken the headunit out, as the new car didn't have one. I fitted a new heavy duty battery to the car last week, a set of wiper blades and a 2nd hand centre and back box (from this site).
The car stands me in at about £1100 but I have no time to investigate the issue with it, as work is manic at the moment. In the original ad, the previous owner talks about some dents on the car, but I'm yet to find them, it really is a tidy little car. Needs a few little bits and bobs seeing to, but it would be cool to see it back on the road again (I went to Truro in it last week and it ran perfectly.
So if anyone is interested, it's your for 600 quid.
I should also say, it's got the whole air bag light thing going on, but I won a momo steering wheel and boss for it on ebay the other night, so I'll also chuck that in and you can do away with the whole airbag steering wheel and ECU.
Any interest from here before it goes back on ebay on Sunday?
Thanks
Rich
