Got myself some borbet a's this morning! There basically brand new and pug fitment. In two minds weather to put them on the 6 with some strech tyres or sell them on? What do people think to these on the 306?

I understand alot of people think its dangerous having crazy stretched tyres and i agree! But only looking for a very small amount. Current on them are 205/50/15. I no little about tyres really, what would you reccomend?

How wide are the rims? I'd leave those tyres on them, maybe go down to 195/50 depending on the rim width.

I like Borbet's but they don't suit Peugeot's. Much more of A vw / beemer thing imo! Brother had a set of A's on his mk2 golf, looked great on that....but yeah, unsure on a 6

There 7j. What do you think there worth? Mint condition only a week or two old. Tyres legal but not far off.

195's will be ok on a 7" rim, but no wider (rim wise)

Thing is 6's are drivers cars and thing that are purely visual like them don't match it imo.

Why would anyone buy brand new, expensive alloy wheels and then fit shagged borderline legal tyres on them? Dunno

Back in the day maybe. There are alot of modern cars that with a decent suspension setup are lovley to drive. Cars have come along way in 13 years. Still not much that looks as good as a clean and shiney rallye/6 imo!

What welshpug said, 195/50 will be fine on them.

are you high? They've a massive great big dish that the MO's don'e. These are a lot more like Fondmetal 4000s which go well on a phase 1 306 because of the sharper styling. Worth noting that the Fondmetals don't clear GTi6 callipers on the front, however that might not translate through the similar style to the Borbet's so they could be fine.
