I would like to know what engine an gearbox mounts to use. First i put it in an it was sitting lower on the engine side so packed the mount up an it seems to run level but the engine does not seem to run square in the engine bay, it seems like the gearbox need moving forward an inch or the engine back an inch. Would be grateful for any info

you need to use the 205 mounts but its best to use the uprated ones so the engine doesnt rock and hit the master cylinder.

I think you really need to start with a pre 2001 (non multiplex wiring) 206 or you will have major headaches wiring it up.

Looks like a xsara vts top mount as the 306 cast mount is not straight. Nice motor

You sir either live for the 6 or have a mental retardation to still be repairing this!

The best engine in the world is the vagina, it takes any size piston, its self lubricating, starts with 1 finger, and every 4 weeks does its own oil change. It's just a pity the management system is so fecking temperamental.

ask sandy Thumbs up

lighter, stiffer, newer LOL:

for some reason they produce better torque, plus in a 206 they drop straight in, and there's the EW12...

Have you considered a 206 180 engine transplant ?

206 gti lump on itb's makes around the same power as a 306 gti lump on itb's. As said the EW engines now seem to be prefered to the XU engines by the proper engine builders!
