Bassed on how many broken Renaults vs broken Honda's we get in at the garage i'd put my money with the Honda ________________________________________ All South Wales Members Click HereTeam Supercharged Black RALLYE ™ (Click Here for Build Project) MY EBAY ITEMS 07943066306 |

Out of those 2 i would go type r. I like the meganes but there are a few people over on cliosport who have them and they always seem to be having issues. Plus I think the type r has a nicer if not slightly more basic interior.________________________________________ Cherry Red 306 HDIChampionship White Integra DC5 Type R |

It seems reliability rather than driveability is most people's issue - if so, why the f*ck are most of you driving Peugeots, after all they are unreliable french pieces of shit too? plenty of civics about if you're *that* concerned.... |

In the 8 years i've owned 306s ive not had a reliability issue yes i've had a few problems but IMO what issues i've had with them (map sensor failing fuel pump blocked after refitting which was my own fault) are nothing compared to some newer cars (especially Renaults) if these are serviced and looked after well (which mine always are) there doesnt seem to be any problems________________________________________ All South Wales Members Click HereTeam Supercharged Black RALLYE ™ (Click Here for Build Project) MY EBAY ITEMS 07943066306 |

Honda engines do indeed have a justifiably good rep for reliability, however as others have said, the chances of getting a tidy CTR for £4k might be a challenge as so many have likely had very hard lives. Renaultsports are probably more affordable but also less reliable, however like any car, if you treat it well you should be ok, it's just its past history you need to be sure of.________________________________________ 340 horses |

Had my Megane for almost 3 years and not had an issue. The engine noise can be boring but you get used to it and the whistle noise from the Turbo is quite amusing. Also if you take out the rear parcel shelf, lower the back seats (or take all the stuff out of the back) the noise difference is something else. As well as everything being amplifield you get a real loud Darth Vader esk sucking noise. ________________________________________ Wedding and portrait photography click here |

That's interesting Paul, I also found mine to be too quiet for my personal liking, I never tried taking out the parcel shelf etc, but the turbo whistle is pretty addictive. If I get another, it will need to have a stainless steel exhaust for sure - have you ever been out in a modded one?________________________________________ 340 horses |
