Hi Chappies,

Just had a new mid section put in, car sounds nice and subtle now and kept my scorpion back box too.

Car seems a bit happier now shes not blowing like a gale from the mid section and seems alot happier/smoother at higher rev's.

Anyways, bloke who did the mid section has told me my Cat is completely shagged!! Thumbs down

Its rattling quite badly so next up on the list is a new Cat.

Question is, how much can i expect to pay for a decent pattern part? And where best to get it from? Obviously a genuine part from Peugeot is way out of my price range.

Whats the likelyhood the Lambda is shagged too? Ive got no dash warning lights on. So i guess its fine....had dash warning lights on my meridian when the lambda was shot.

Thanks

The one next door put a load of scratches in my roof jumping off my garage, so I threw a rock at it when I next saw the little bas**rd.

Owain i hope for your sake we never meet! LOL

You dont like Cats, Midget Gems, Hard Gums or the like, and have an unruly and unacceptable hatred for Comic Sans Serif.

Theres just something about you thats just, just not right! Roll eyes

LOL

I'd quite like to paint "kick me" on a cat in comic sans, then pepper it with American hard gums until I make the papers. All my favourite things in one little happy moment.

I bought one from buypartsby and it was the about 10cm too long despite it being for the correct car. They did give me a partial refund though. Lucky me.

I got a 2nd hand OE one in the end, needless to say it fitted perfectly.

There's my 2 pence worth.

i remember reading something about pattern cats on here

clicky

look near the bottom of the page to see this with pics...
quote:

The cat is dead. Fvcked and totalled. And the chances are it’s demise spelt doom for the old engine too. A chunk of the internal honeycomb had detached & wedged in the neck of the unit under pressure of gasflow. Thus the engine had idled sweetly but asphyxiated under throttle.

Well, you live and learn. Something to learn from this might be to avoid pattern cats.
