I see, my bad. Doh

In that case then you will want an exhaust manifold from a '6' then as you should see some gain. Yes

It is a big job, as there are 3 ways to change the exhaust manifold:

1. Take the cylinder head off.
2. Remove the lower subframe.
3. Take the engine out.

Your choice. Wink

It is probably the easiest if you haven't got the need to remove/strip the engine at that point. Yes

XSP33 for the 3", XSP33/4 for the 4".

These are certainly what the old part numbers were. Didn't know they had changed the part numbers TBH. Dunno

The same one that hangs low and spits the baffles out? LOL

Will get some pics up later. Can't really grumble at the price I paid.

I've put a '6' manifold on both an xs and xsi. I didn't take the engine out, remove cylinder head or take off the subframe! Was tough but it can be done! Big grin

As Mei says, it can be done by removing the engine mounts and tipping the engine forwards to give enough space, although I have never tried this myself. It is awkward, but it can be done apparantly. Yes

Yeah when I did it to my xs, I supported the engine, removed both gearbox and upper mounts, then used a rope and a gate post to hold the engine forward! Think it took me 12 hours! It was the first big thing I'd ever done to a car! And it only stayed on for a couple of days as the devil decat I had was banging on the subframe and the manifold was rubbing on a water pipe! Was fun though! Big grin

The sense of achievement when I dropped the car back onto it's wheels was amazing and reinforced my love for working on cars!
