Have just got a magnex centre pipe and backbox fitted, however the tail pipe seems to sit down really low below the bumper. Can anyone help with why this is and a way to make it sit up in the cut out in the bumper? Many thanks

is it a new system or the old classic system? my classic style backbox 3" one was a bit off-centre and drooped, so i've just used a load of cable ties and some brute force to lift it up about an inch. works fine and has been like this for years now. saves bending hangers etc

Wil try to post a pic up when it's light, a mate fitted it but he said he couldn't get it to go any higher up, I don't know if it's old classic system as got it when I bought the car and only just fitted it as the standard box decided to split.

Mine sits here, not sure if that's a normal height for them but it looks alright to me. Also not sure if it's a new 'en or a classic...

I've bought another Magnex backbox with the intentions of doing some 'custom' work on it! Cool

4'' FTW!

The height of the examples in the pics looks about right. You will need to have a look underneath and see what is obstructing the exhaust going any higher if it is not sitting in the valence cutout. Wink

Have they not? Must admit, I bought mine in 2005 and although it broke once, I got it professionally TIG welded back up instead of buying a new one.

The thing with the 3'' tailpipe is IMO it doesn't seem to fill up the valence cutout in the bumper nicely.

The standard tailpipe is ovaled though so makes it appear to fit nice.
As for our 4'' cannons, your just jealous Mei. Razz
