Carl chambers is my witness. I changed 2 corners around Feb this year when i had Mot on Feb 5th at 92k miles. Swapped the new types to the front as they were 50 and backs 55. Then 2 months later i changed the other 2 corners and swapped the new on the front. I'm now on 106k miles so done over 14k miles and had a service last weekend. Asked Carl to give tyres a quick check and there's plenty left still on all ________________________________________ JAMMA "M44YHW" MAYHEWLOSE WEIGHT NOW - ASK ME HOW - NUTRI-FIX GTi6 LPG, The best of both worlds! 2006: 1997 R reg 306 1.4 Miami - Diablo Red - DEAD 2007: 1999 V reg 306 1.4 Meridian - Diablo Red - SOLD 2007-09: 1998 S reg 306 GTi6 - Diablo Red - DEAD 2009-10: 1998 R reg Corsa 1.2 - Blue - SOLD 2010-13: 2001 Y reg 306 GTi6 LPG - Diablo Red - DEAD 2013 - 2013: 2000 X reg GTi6 LPG - Moonstone Blue - DEAD 2013 - current: 2001 X reg GTi6 LPG - Diablo Red ]FOR SALE[/b] "I LIVE FOR THE 306" |

I had PE2 at 50 profile on TSW Blade alloys with my last 2.0 XSi Ph1 and they were excellent, although they were not at their absolute new best for long. I'd done about 7 or 8K on them and they were maybe a third worn. My current 306 is on Cyclone alloys with mixed brands of tyres at 55 profile, is crap and rolls around like a kids space hopper. I will probably get some 50 profile PE2 again or some cheap Toyo TS1r. The PE2 are not that great looking but are good performers. I got a set of four from Costco on a 20% off deal in Feb' 2009 for £45 per tyre and balanced too. |
