I've just cobbled together some thule roof bars and the thule 1017 fitting kit off ebay - the only thing that I am missing are the 2 bolts to fit the foot pack to the holes under the rubber door seal at the front (3dr).

Does anyone know the correct size bolt - I hear its at 20mm x M6 allen bolt - does that sound right.

I have already checked specs on the Thule website and they don't go into this kind of detail Sad

I think they might be larger than m6... but then I can't tell as mine have welded themselves to the car... little bas**rds. Anyway, you want something like you describe with a low profile head so that it doesn't interfere with the rubbers.

Ta' - I'll make sure i fill the threads with grease before hand so they don't weld them selves on as I'm planning on just leaving them on the car most the time as I can't be A*sed taking them on and off.

On the Pug roofbars it uses a countersunk allen bolt on the front.
