1st 306 cost me 3k. Wrote it off twice. Got 1.8k from insurance. So lost 1.2k in a year. 2nd car cost 1.9k. Sold that for 2.3k a year later Smile . 3rd car cost me 1.8k iirc. Sold as spares for around £400 to £600. 4th car cost me £300 and i sold for £650 a year later. And now I'm still driving my 5th car Smile

The best engine in the world is the vagina, it takes any size piston, its self lubricating, starts with 1 finger, and every 4 weeks does its own oil change. It's just a pity the management system is so fecking temperamental.

306 XSi on an S plate, paid £5k, spend about £2.5k changing it to phase 3 and lots of other bits all done by Peugeot main stealer. Then sold after about 4 years for £1200. What a plonker!

Then bought the GTi, spent a fortune on it and now its worth Bugger all! Awesome.

Doh! Must have been fun though when it wasn't left abandoned on the side of the road broken down!

My first 6, bought for £2000 and two years later selling it for £1600 after spending best part of £1500 on it.

But it will probably be the SC6 when I decide to sell it.

I've been quite lucky really. Probably my 1st 6 bought it for £1850. Spent about £1000 on it and sold it 18 months later for £1800 so just lost the money I spent in it. Haven't really kept a car for longer than 6 months since and usually make money when I sell them.

I paid £13,500 for my Alfa and sold it 5 years later for £6000; not bad really.

The wife’s first cooper s was the best car to date for depreciation; paid £8500 and sold 5 years later for £4500.

I’m hoping my S6 has done most of its depreciating as someone paid around £65k for it when new with the options on it.

i would have to say the gti6 as i was pretty anal with it and spent tons on it and put so much time on it. can think of at least 5 k i spent on it in actual pounds plus the initial lay out of 4800 i think i paid for.

the scoob has got to be a close 2nd in 2years of ownership i paid 17500 for it and sold it for 10k 2 years later. i have had a couple of vans that have smacked my asse in the past but i never seem to really tot that up as they are work horses. my last transit i paid 10250 for did 200k in it in 3 years of ownership spent in the region of 3 k on various repairs over the 3 year period and sold it for a grand when it blew up. so i guess it would probably be a van

My current drive has been the biggest lost to my pocket for the past 6 years. Purchased the rallye for £3800 and have spent £6050 to date in 6 years without even considering road tax, insurance and fuel!

I will never see my money but I'm stuck in a love/hate relationship with my car and haven't got the balls to say no to it.

I genuinely live for the 306 Big grin
