driving down the bpas the other nite in my friends new phase2, the car was holding back. as we come to a stop we heard a tappin knockin sound comin on and off. it would stall now and then when stopped. so we slowly got it bk home. when he started it in the morning the amount of smoke it was chucking out was untrue. have you guys any advice on what it can be |

we thought that cambelt pins all line correctly. it was running great. as good as mine. but started makin a racket |

holding back could be a catalytic converter hex core turning 90 degrees ... this would then create someting similar to a hydro lock with exhaust gases causing a valve to warp or even worse ... split cat and centre box and shine a torch to check the orientation of the hex core (not sure the correct name). this was the cause of pete engine failiure and the car holding back was down to the core rotating 90 degrees. |

its only holding back sinse its made the noise. its white thick smoke thats only just accured after driving home with the knock. it will start now but not very easy. |
