Don't say that was gonna get a 205 GTI but deep down I knew the missus would hate it so went and bought a phase 3 6 and she loves it especially the mood it puts me in Devil

When you have it running 100% standard with no knocks, squeaks, or ticking it still makes a lovely motor I see people about in much newer cars and some look in envy, they know the coo Whistle

Great gearing,Great handling, Great sreering, Great feedback from the road, don't go rusty like fords do, Great visability due to low window line, I can find spares in any breakers yard, Timeless styling, The sweet resonating induction noise from the standard airbox set up, You can fit an entire bathroom suite in the boot, You can fit a double bed in the boot, The spacious boot, Lift off over steer to make you realise that you are only mortal, The puddle in the passenger footwell, The way the air con light comes on when you switch the ignition on to remind you that the a/c pipes have turned to dust and that you really should sort it out.

I shall be burried in my 306! That is all.

Because its awesome. I cost me a little over 2k and hasnt missed a beat. It moves, and in fact theres not as much between them and a brand new hot hatch as people make you believe. The Fact you can really embarrass people in them, And the way that most idiots have no idea what it is.
The handling. The vast amount of modifications available that arent chavvy and clearly have the enthusiast in mind. the spec of them is quite good. Yeah my ac barely works but i never use it anyway. I'll probably never sell it. theres no point getting rid of something so good when its worth so little and its worth a lot more to me than its value.

Because I can overtake lesser cars whilst towing a trailer with my towbar upgrade. Towing a trailer adds maturity, masculinity, and sex appeal. People gazed in jealousy as my Magnex reverberated on my 15mm plywood sided beast only 2 days ago.

Actually for carrying 7 people its amazing. For towing a 3500KG trailer, its amazing. For going off road, its amazing. For taking 5 shooters and 5 dogs around a woodland, its amazing. For long hauls to Austria for the annual skiing trip, it's amazing.

I've had a 6, and these days they are nothing "amazing" at all. I've also owned a 400BHP Evo 8MR, and that was f*cking amazing at doing what it was designed to do. Speak to anyone on here who has had a newer, faster car - Subaru P1's, Megane 225's, Integra Type R's and all the rest of it and they'll all say the same - the 6 just doesn't compete.

Sure, for £700 or whatever they are fine, but for those who can afford it there is so much more out there, that does everything so much better. And that is why people don't love them. (other than the "a 6 would have it in the twisties" brigade, which is also a load of shit because our works 59 plate focus estate provides better handling and feedback in corners than most of the 6's on here I'd bet)

I'm pretty sure Carl chambers has a Megane 225. Few others too and i think he'll agree the 6 is the better car if not it closely follows the 205. Type r's are chav mobiles. Far too low for my liking. Never fun when you feel every little stone the car goes over. And i know many 6 owners who have plenty of dosh to spend on other cars but still choose a 6. Thats because they are Freakin awesome!
