ive seen sum 15inch slicks for sale for my 1.9 gti rims. i run a gti6 205 with bilstein tarmac dampers an 24mm arb on back. would my car take the punishment of slicks on it on the track? just wondered weather to purchase them as they are cheaper than r888. ________________________________________ 230bhp 205 gti6 |

Buy them. If they are the right size and not too hard a compound, they will be soooo much better than a 888.________________________________________ 1999 Astor Grey GTi-6 OEM+ (now gone...)2004 Aegean Blue 206 GTi 180 (also gone...) 2006 Skoda Fabia vRS in Sprint Yellow honestly3k wrote: Do you wrestle for a living matt? Not all tracks will allow you to run slicks, so I would check on that front first.________________________________________ 1992 Onyx Black 205 GTI-62005 Honda S2000 (Sold) 2002 Audi S3 (Sold) 2005 Clio 182 Trophy (sold) |

Castle combe used to say no slicks but along with others, i've ran them there in the past. ________________________________________ 1999 Astor Grey GTi-6 OEM+ (now gone...)2004 Aegean Blue 206 GTi 180 (also gone...) 2006 Skoda Fabia vRS in Sprint Yellow honestly3k wrote: Do you wrestle for a living matt? springs wont be stiff enough for slicks then, guess you're on standard torsion bars too?________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

You really need at least 7" wide rims for 200 width slicks which are the most popular, 185's will be fine on std 6" rims.Thicker TB's and at least 350lb front springs will help get the best from the slicks. It's not the tracks that won't accept slicks, but some trackday operators won't let you use slicks unless you have a roll cage; most will though. |

A standard(ish) car won't get the best out of slicks but that doesn't mean you shouldn't use them. ________________________________________ www.bridgecraftmotorsport.co.uk |
