What are you going to spend on one second hand plus postage? For a second hand part that might need replacing in a year? Just buy new.......________________________________________ Almost standard 1999 Bianca RallyeHilux InvincibleX daily 306 No.13 ![]() Carp and specialist Anglers Click here |

You just unscrew them...... make sure you count the turns it takes to get them off though and put the new ones on with the same number of turns, that way when you take the car to get tracked (straight away) it will be much closer to spot on......________________________________________ Almost standard 1999 Bianca RallyeHilux InvincibleX daily 306 No.13 ![]() Carp and specialist Anglers Click here |

Depends if you're talking about the steering arms or the rod ends. Rod ends are a piece of p*ss, steering arms not so much.________________________________________ Bye bye Sundance Kid |

Its just going to be a pain cos theres no room to work in! Im really looking forward to fitting it actually, propably the biggest thing ive attempted to do on my car so it should be fun ![]() Wish me luck! Ill fill you in on how it went............ |

Its not a subframe off job, you can take the rack off leaving the subframe in place and get it on the bench. The rods arent that tight and come off with either a screwdriver and hammer or some stilsons if you dont have the special tool. |

You can do it with the rack in place.Pop the BJ out and put it on opposite lock. Mole grips and some brute strength. ________________________________________ ![]() |

So, got this fitted yesterday. I found it fairly easy to do, it was just really awkward. I tapped a set of steelsons onto the ball joint to get a good grip and undid it! Most annoying bit was trying to clip the ram gaitor back on after accidentally unclipping it, took about 45mins ![]() Need a new track rod end now tho. I didn't jack it up enough to get the top nut off, so I just cut the rubber off and gripped it with some mole grips! |

Exactly. Taking the rack off is pointless.Cable clips or cable ties as a temporary measure. I had a split in one which knackered the joint in no time. ________________________________________ ![]() |

Went to get my tracking done by halfrauds this weekend (£26).After waiting 1hr45mins for them to do it i finally got my car back. Took it for a little test drive and with the steering wheel central the car tracks to the right, obviously i wasnt statisfied with this so i got them to give me a refund! Think ill take it to a proper wheel tracking place.... |
