I may be looking at selling my throttle bodied 306 rallye due to change and circumstances and i am looking to see what its worth.

It has highly been modified on the engine, apart from that the car has not had many visual modification.

Engine modifications consist of:
45mm Jenvey throttle bodies
Mil oversize high comp forged pistons
Bloke bored out to 87mm
Forged H-section conrods with ARP bolts
Long stroke (88mm) crank-knife edged, lighted and balanced
Comectic steel head gasket
Flowed and rebuilt head
Piper double vavle springs and caps
Solid follower conversion
406 BTCC touring car cams
Emerald K2 ECU
4-2-1 maniflow manifold
GE quick shift
Quick shift linkages
All round group N engine mounts
Billet steel flywheel
Alloy engine pullies
Power steering relocation kit
2.5" jetex exhaust system with 3" tip
Oil catch tank
16 row oil cooler with built in thermostat
Braided fuel lines
Pipercross throttle body filter
Direct cold air scope

Engine rebuild was done at around 67000 miles by PUG1OFF at 232BHP with 180torque but since then done a few other modifactions so would be in need of a new remap really but should be 240-245BHP.

Cam belt did snap at 70000 and bent 15 valves but did have it rebuilt and all 16 valves was replaced and head was skimmed.

other modifactions consist off
60mm lowering springs and back to match
Rear Interior has been stripped out and been painted (still have all interior in storage)
Battery been relocated to behind drivers seat with a battery cut of switch
Solid rear beam mounts
Welded subframe
Braided brake lines
Reconditioned brake callipers
Reconditioned white alloys
EBC red pads
EBC turbo discs
Castrol SRF synthetic racing brake fluid
Crystal head lights
Smoothed bonnet and grill
White dials
New decals (logos)
Top anti roll bar
Short shift gear leaver
4 point harness

The car has been fully reconditioned last year had all brand new bushes, bearing the works really i replaced everything havent replaced shocks thought as was looking into getting coilovers.

Has a MOT till 12th july 2012. as i only use it in the summer it has no tax as i have sorned it.

BAD POINTS:-

Drivers seat has wear on the side you get in
Passenger side seat has just started to wear
Stone chip on the bonnet
Keyed on drivers side (touch up pin been used)
Small chip under drivers side rear light
Alternator is fried but should have this replaced by the time its sold
Cold start on the map is not great on first start of a day takes a few attempts but can be sorted with a new remap
that all i can think of so mainly just normal things.

Been took to Santa Pod and did the quarter mile in 13.8453 seconds at 102.88MPH. not sure on 0-60mph time but it did 0-81mph in 9.0783. so 0-60mph must be about 8.5 or some thin.

I have a link to the reconditioning of the car with alot of pics in it if you would like to take a look.

That's far too much info to read through, so I'll say about £1400 tops as that's all they ever seem to go for any more.

Way more than £1400 but your market is limited due to modifications ? You would be best off selling as parts Thumbs up

Prices of second hand cars has plummeted recently - if it's not a diesel then most people dont want to know. I could say £3000 and it might seem insulting, but for the specialist, there are a lot of good standard newer cars for that money.

Hell I'm beginning to think I am fortunate getting £1600 for my 540i

At the end of the day, its a 14 year old car, with some mods.

You could probably split and sell the

Bodies
Management
Head
Exhaust
Brakes

and get more than the whole car Sad

You'll likely get more for the engine bits than the whole car aloneThumbs up

As I have said before Dan, stunning car. Shame you are looking to sell as the market is rubbish.

It's a very well sorted car, and after all the refurb work you had done, it really looks the part too Yes

Best of luck with the sale, but if you do decide to break, let me know mate as I will probably have a few bits off you Smile

if it was running i would have said 2.5k but as it is not you are looking into bargain basement prices . what are the chances of finding someone as enthusiastic about the car as you are about it.
sounds a weapon , i would break it or take 2k for it and that is not being horrible that is just reality, i did the same some years back and mine was working

I'd have said this too. Well looked after V6's seem to attract a similar price tag too.

Where does it say that? I didnt see in the ad that its broken, just needs a remap to get the best out of it and cure the cold start troubles.

Yeah, but as it will be replaced before car is sold, I dont think it counts as "not running". If that makes sense Dunno
