Traced the cause of my engine trying to do a somersault under the bonnet everytime I change gear to a knackered powerflex yellow polybush, in a word, shite. Don't be tempted to fit anything other than a rubber one, as far as I'm aware this is'nt very old and considering it's supposeed to be an upgraded part compared to standard it's gone looser than a cock in a shirtsleeve causing all kinds of nasty clonks and misbehavoiur. As it's a pain in the arse to change I would reccommend to anyone considering a wide berth to go OEM, Baker B&M or Vibra-Technics, anything but polyurethane anyway, rant over, HTH.

never used one personally but have seen the aftermath of people using them and have always been a bit dubious, on a road car I'd always go for o.e

have just spent 6 hours in a 205 with a set of BBM mounts, a powerflow 2.25" exhaust and a set of bodies, head is still buzzing an hour and a half on from getting home from the induction hammer, slight drone form the exhaust, and vibrations!! Crazy

The vibration on the new Group N mount is pretty fearsome, but they seem to soften considerably once they warm up, anything is better than the crap that was in there before.

I had a solid rear mount on the v6 that was fairly noisy, but have to say the powerflex bushes in the volvo wishbones have been fine. For about 15k now.

People always overlook a oem one because they assume that they will be like the 10 of 12 year old one it replaced .
My new 20 quid Peugeot one is soooo far improved, I don't see a need for anything else.

I'll be going back to OEM, group N was fine in my stripped caged track car as there was nothing left to rattle except me! In a car with a full interior though everything vibrates from the contents of the glove-box right through to the parcel shelf, horrible.

I've been through a set of Baker BM ones as well, great for a little bit then they degrade. Currently on a set of spoox ones and so far they are holding up nicely.

I remember a parts retailer who told me he refused to stock said brand as they caused him no end of pain. I have heard that poly isn't necessarily the best thing for certain applications as it tears. Good old rubber is apparently pretty good.
