How do you guys with the custom cages get on with using the manual window winder?
Does the cage get in the way when winding the window up/down?
Thanks
Ollie

Thanks Ollie Yes, it gets in the way, you can pull the winder off and put it back in such a way that it misses the cage when the window is fully up, and you can get them up and down without it hitting the cage but it really is a squeeze. I found cracking the door open a bit to wind the windows worked for me. ________________________________________ R H Davey Welding Supplies. You'll ruin polycarb windows if you have them slide up and down, it'll put scratches in 'em and you'll not be able to see through the buggers after 6 months.________________________________________ - Bespoke rollcages/additions/adjustments. Or just stick with electric. Not sure the weight difference is huge over windy glass windows. Obviously a lot over fixed lexan.Go electric and make sure you shave your head, blow your nose, remove your false teeth and clean out your ears. Job done - just look at Phil M to see what to aim for. ________________________________________ Nothing to see here |

But needing winders or electrics means keeping the original door cards, do they even fit with a cage? I'd just get rid of the cards and have flat sheet so you've got more room.________________________________________ Membership expiring soon, get in contact on our new little forum project. |

Standard doorcards won't fit if the cage has door bars. My cage was made with a door bar lower than usual so as not to obstruct the window winder and armrest ________________________________________ Car#1 306 HDi Meridian 5door, 133Bhp, 225lb.ft Ecosse R/R 20/3/05Car#2 306 1.4 3door track car with Gti6 power. 167Bhp, 134lb.ft Ecosse R/R 21/10/07 Car#3 Grand Scenic 1.9DCi (Expanding!) family mover. |
