anybody else regret selling a car?





theres mine, it was so chavy but it was quick and handled like shit on a blanket. it was 204bhp with stage 3 water cooled turbo, low comp forged internals and other bits and pieces. bought it for £1000 blew the head gasket on the first drive out, fixed that then turbo went so i changed that at another £1000. then the water pump went so i fixed that and decided to sell it. while the bloke was test driving it 5th gear flew to bits and smashed a hole in the side of the gearbox so i ended up taking £900 for it.

Yea i regret selling my 1993 WRX import, i was 21 then (33 now) Shame i have no pics as my old hard drive munched them :-( Mind i think i would have to be wearing a mask driving it now with the rep they have these days lol

My mk 1 escort lotus , still curse everyday about it. funny thing was at the time i got sort of top money for it £2800 i think it was. what would it be worth now though. curses

Mines will be my 206 gti 180. What I should be doing is selling the 309s to help fund a house deposit but...naaaahhh!!


I don't regret selling this as such as it had no electric windows! But it was a brilliant car and served me well for about 12k miles and liked corners even though it was a 1.1L bottom of the range 206.







Went through a few stages with it but was always too tight to buy fresher looking number plates!

My chipped, cammed, T3'd, Red K reg Fiesta RS Turbo. Went like sh*t of a shiny chrome shovel Ninja but it was rotten and I found out it was on a CAT D. Should of broke it as it had cossie brakes, OZ's, konis etc etc but I couldn't be arsed and I sold it for £500

I don't miss any car I have sold(I miss the '6 but that does not count) as such although If I had kept my 106 Derv I would be absolutely 'rolling in it' now Unsure

I miss this my 200sx, was a bit chavy. But it was so light and handled so well (Just under 1300kgs standard). I will have one again another day as a track car...



Also regret my old man selling this for 5 Grand and me not buying. I still have an itch I need to scratch with one of these...

My 1985 Tornado Red Ur-quattro. Loved that car, still do.

Replaced unfortunately with a Golf VR6 which was the worst car reliability-wise I ever owned (test drove it back to back with a Blaze GTI-6 the memory of which is why I've got a Rallye now). Regretfully I wouldn't buy another Ur-quattro now - parts supply is just too much of an issue and even when you could get the parts they were blisteringly expensive. And current Audis, while quicker, just aren't as cool as that one was.

Never sold a car. In 12 years of driving I've only ever owned 3 cars, and 2 of them I still have (the other was scrapped). The wife, on the other hand, has got through 6 cars in the same period of time!
I think I would regret selling any car.
