Had this the other day, i had basic cover which meant they'd recover me to the nearest garage or home whichever was closer.........guy very kindly agreed to recover it to my house which was 12 miles away.........i gave him a tenner for his troubles. Usually he'd just drop it off at the nearest garage.Hope that helps ________________________________________ VW Golf GT TDI 115, 100k nooooooooooooooooooooo! |

Unplug something in the engine bay near the oil leak. When he has a look, point out that you can see oil and can he just check it pretty please?________________________________________ Bye bye Sundance Kid |

Dan I'm a little confused...In the thread "right..." you stated, and I am quoting: "i decided to nip it to a recommended garage 1 minute walk away to have the wheel bearing changed as i just couldnt be bothered to do it myself" Surely if you think you're capable of changing a wheel bearing, you can jack the car up and check to see if the hockey sticks holding the driveshaft are loose, can't you? If they are, they simply require retightening and the gearbox oil replacing. I think you're making this more than it needs to be. ________________________________________ Deepak Gohil |
