Peugeot genuine head gasket is multi layer steel anyway and suprisingly cheap. May have gone up now but when I rebuilt my engine just over a year ago it was only about £40. Forget how much head bolts were but still not silly money. Biggest cost is a minor skim and pressure test as well as labour to do everything else.

So very sad day today I now have a focus tdci s**t box so rallye will be broken.
Main reason completely lost the love for it, just need to get away for a year or 2 and then I'll be ready to start another project.also I have quite abit debt which is just heaping up, which will the sale of part should clear it, ive also decide to buy my mum n dad council house so will all this I really need something economical, practical.

Just want to say a big thanks to everybody who has helped me in the 3 years of this thread, have meet some great people and have got loads of great buys from this forum obviously I remain a member but I won't be living for the 306 Sad

Has far as breaking I will get some prices up later tonite, hoping someone wants the rallye after I take charger wheels, cage, buckets, brakes , coilovers off as its been fully rebuild underneath, and with a new head would be a great car.

As do still have all the original bits somewhere, can't bring myself to scrap a rallye.
