Hi guys, just setting the 205 up on the dyno and we are seeing AFRs of 13.5 when on boost. Is 13.5 going to run it too lean and risk det or is it within normal safe parameters? |

At what point in the rev range is that AFR?What exhaust / intercooler do you have? What fuel pump are you running? Rich ________________________________________ Contact Details:rich@lynxpowerengineering.co.uk 07732 822546 |

It's rich of stoich, but it's not necessarily rich for a boosted engine map.... ________________________________________ - Bespoke rollcages/additions/adjustments. Rich Thanks for getting back to me Rich, you can ignore that text I sent you earlier ;-) The AFR is flat from 2,000 RPM all the way to the redline. Exhaust is 2" Magnex decat Standard fuel pump Unbranded IC as the high boost IC was too large. The IC felt cool after the dyno run though ECU is your low boost one {bought from birk} and is I believe a later version with better idle control? Injectors are the 440cc ones I got from you a couple of weeks back What do you reckon mate? |

You'll find that it is only like that on full throttle. On part throttle at constant speeds mine hovers round 14.7 ish.________________________________________ Ex SC-6Now in a Megane R26 |

You want it to be around 12.5.To richen yours up, I would check your fuel pressure isn't dropping off at the top end, if that's OK I can supply a slightly smaller restrictor which will richen it up. Intercooler and exhaust choice are the main things that will affect the AFR on our conversion. 13 is not dangerously lean - so don't worry too much. Make sure you use V Power too ________________________________________ Contact Details:rich@lynxpowerengineering.co.uk 07732 822546 |

Can you PM me a price for the restrictor please. |

Dave you'll need to get that checked. Just double check the sparkplugs are cooler and that you have no leaks on the exhaust side of things.________________________________________ Team Supercharged Gti-6NV Motorsport Automotive Performance Tuning 0121 448 7515 ECU Remapping/ DPF removal VAG/BMW Diag and Option Coding Peugeot Planet ECU coding/transponder programming etc www.nvmotorsport.com Facebook Page Project S6 |

What number spark plugs should they be by the way? Looks like I only just missed out on a f*cked Rotrex, the traction fluid was nearly all gone from the reservoir, an inch below the minimum so I'll be investigating the pipework for leaks this weekend.________________________________________ R H Davey Welding Supplies. You want the 7s or 8s for low boost, depending of the nature of use.The plugs will not affect the air fuel ratio in anyway, but play an important part in heat management. ________________________________________ Contact Details:rich@lynxpowerengineering.co.uk 07732 822546 |

If they're NGK's the higher the number the cooler they run, with Bosch it's the other way around.________________________________________ - Bespoke rollcages/additions/adjustments.
